My Approach

I strive to deliver a professional and practical approach to my work. I am dedicated to finding pragmatic solutions that prioritise the well-being of all of those involved. As a member of Resolution, I am committed to resolving issues in a constructive way and try to avoid litigation and achieve a negotiated settlement, if possible. My approach is characterised by empathy, attentiveness, and a deep understanding of the emotional challenges that often accompany family issues.

Alongside my own caseload, I assist partners of the Matrimonial Department in all aspects of their work to include divorce, children matters and financial settlements.

Area of Expertise

  • All aspects of divorce and civil partnership dissolution
  • Financial disputes arising from relationship breakdown
  • Cohabitation agreements
  • TOLATA claims
  • Complex disputes involving children including (but not limited to) access, contact, choice of school, relocation and holidays
  • Complex children matters including allegations of domestic violence
  • Emergency applications relating to domestic violence

Recent Work

  • Successfully obtained an ex-parte Injunction against a violent husband to protect my client from further physical or emotional abuse.
  • Successfully representing a father in his application for the children to live with him (assisting on a partner’s case).
  • Representing a client who had been subjected to significant domestic violence in a dispute over access.
  • Negotiating financial settlements for unmarried clients.
  • Representing a client in an emergency application to protect the children, i.e. a Prohibited Steps Order to prevent the children from being removed from my client’s care.
  • Acting for a client in financial remedy proceedings where the wife refused to disclose her relationship status. After her refusal, a private investigator was instructed, and she was found to be untruthful resulting in a positive outcome for our client in terms of the overall financial settlement.

Professional Associations & Qualifications

  • Admitted as a solicitor in June 2022
  • LLB (Hons) Law Degree (2:1)
  • Legal Practice Course
  • Member of the Bournemouth Junior Lawyers Division
  • Social Events Officer of the Bournemouth Junior Lawyers Division
  • A member of Resolution
