Ellis Jones take home the winner’s trophy

We are pleased to announce that Ellis Jones has taken home the winner’s trophy from the Bournemouth and District Law Society’s annual 5 aside tournament last Sunday, following several hard fought matches.

The team was made up of Mark Stutter, Carl Arreghini, Luke Baldwin, Jack Helyar and, externally recruited, David Newnham of Lester Aldridge.

Pelham’s Park Leisure Centre hosted the tournament, which was played in a league format. Preston Redman, Aldridge Brownlee, Coles Miller and Pengillys were amongst the competitors.

In the final game, the team came up against Aldridge Brownlee, who were last year’s winners. It was a very close match, which was looking like a draw, until Jack Helyar scored the only goal of the game leading us to a 1-0 win and overall victory in the tournament.
