Recognising Dorchester’s Thriving Businesses
Our Managing Partner, Nigel Smith attended the Dorchester Business Awards on Thursday 3rd April at The Corn Exchange in Dorchester. This event celebrated over 70 business people local to Dorchester, with over 20 award winners being recognised for their achievements.
Ellis Jones sponsored the Family Business of the Year category and the winner was announced as Greenwood Grange, with The Florist of Poundbury receiving the silver award in this category as well. Our winners were announced and congratulated by our Managing Partner, who joined the winners for networking following the awards ceremony.
Event organiser, Nigel Reeve said, “It’s tough at the moment for many businesses and also charities but today’s awards are a testament to the hard work and entrepreneurial spirit shown to meet challenges. It’s all about giving and helping each other and also we know charities are finding it harder fund raising in these times, so our chosen charity in Dorchester was Dorchester Poverty Action that do so much good work for individuals in the town struggling.”
