Ellis Jones Sponsors STEM Challenge Finals

We are pleased to announce that we will be sponsoring Soroptimist International’s Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths Challenge – also known as STEM.

Soroptimist International is a worldwide organisation of women who inspire action, transform lives and strive to
educate, empower and enable women and girls to achieve their full potential.

This year the STEM challenge, being held at Bournemouth University’s Fusion Building on March 15th 2018, will focus on finding a solution to help people in the poorest parts of the world. There will particularly be a focus on; hunger, water, health, lack of education, poor housing and transport.

It is nationally and internationally recognised that there is a shortage of girls choosing STEM subjects and a growing body of evidence about barriers to subsequent careers. The challenge has been created to inspire girls and encourage them to overcome
these barriers.

Here at Ellis Jones, we are immensely proud of our women in the workforce and are looking forward to supporting an event that encourages young women to achieve their goals. Our Partners Katie Taft, Deborah Leask & Kate Brooks will be in attendance.
