Success for Purbeck 10K Runners

On Friday 21st June nearly 500 people participated in the annual Purbeck 10K. We’d like to say a huge congratulations to Craig Wells, Nicola Hall, Patricia Alberry and George Patey from Ellis Jones Solicitors for taking part in the fantastic challenge.

As sponsors of the race we were delighted to provide all runners with an Ellis Jones goodie bag which included some great freebies from the other sponsors as well.

In first place came Robert Spencer, from Bournemouth Athletic Club, winning the men’s race and achieving a fantastic time of 33.19. The winner of the women’s race was Alexander Door of Egdon Heath Harriers with a time of 41.16.

The event, organised by the Purbeck Runners, began and ended at the Norden park and ride site, just outside of Corfe Castle. Each year all proceeds from the Purbeck 10K go to a charity of their choice, this year the chosen charity was Swanage Area Dementia Friendly Community.
