Georgie Standhaft
My Approach
My primary role is to assist Paul Kanolik, a Partner within the Banking and Finance Litigation department. I deal mainly with betting and gambling disputes and help with the drafting of letters, various legal documents, liaising with clients and undertaking legal research. In my everyday work I strive to be organised, attentive to detail, professional at all times and endeavor to build a rapport and trust worthy relationships with my team and clients.
Area of Expertise
I successfully completed a history degree from the University of Winchester. It was not long into my second year of university that I began picking topics that heavily encompassed constitutional and administrative law and it was then that I found my passion for law and justice. I initially began work at another local law firm dealing with personal injury and clinical negligence. I wanted to further my experience in other areas of contentious law and so I successfully came to Ellis Jones to work in the banking and finance litigation department. I am currently studying for the new Solicitors Qualifying Examination route (SQE) via a Masters with the University of Law where I hope to qualify as a Solicitor in the future.
