What is ‘no fault’ divorce?

In April 2022, ‘no fault’ divorce/dissolution came into effect.

This means that divorce/dissolution proceedings can now be made solely or jointly without the need to blame either party for the breakdown of the relationship. Instead, parties are now required to confirm that their marriage and/or civil partnership has broken down irretrievably.

Our divorce lawyers are able to draw on their experience of resolving matters through the court, mediation and collaborative law to achieve the best outcome for you in your divorce/dissolution of civil partnership.
