Court of Protection

The Court of Protection is based in London and has jurisdiction over the personal welfare, property and financial affairs of people who are unable to make decisions for themselves due to a lack of mental capacity.

The Court of Protection has the power to appoint “Deputies” to make decisions on behalf of someone who lacks mental capacity whose powers are considerable.

Our highly experienced Court of Protection experts will explain all the options to you, and listen to your needs; any decisions made will always be in the best interests of the person involved.

"The visitor advised that staff appear to have a good level of insight and knowledge into the case and are dealing with the current issues. They have built good relationships with social care and the carers for Joyce and strive to maintain an appropriate and functional relationship with Joyce's son whilst being aware of the risk."
